Travel Tips
Before you go:
- Check official travel advice for where you are travelling to

- Use a cross-body bag or money belt and keep belongings out of sight where possible. Visible expensive jewellery, carrying your phone or wallet, in your hand or back pocket may attract unwanted attention.

- Do not leave valuables unattended at any time especially when around the pool or at the beach. Use hotel safes and keep a photo of what you store in them.
- Be cautious with alcohol
- Being intoxicated can increase risk and may affect insurance claims.
- Follow local laws and customs guidelines
- These could be things such as dress codes, photography restrictions, smoking or vaping rules. Avoid fines or arrest.

- Only use licensed taxis/ride services
- Agree fares in advance where meters are not standard.
- Be smart online
- Avoid public Wi-Fi for banking, use hotspots or VPN services and watch out for free Wi-Fi traps.
- Swim safely
- Follow lifeguard advice and flags when they are in place. Watch out for currents, do not swim alone and be extra careful after drinking alcohol.
- Take day trip safety rules seriously
- Use reputable operators, proper equipment and do not take part in activities your insurance does not cover.
